Seychelles

Seychelles comprises 115 islands including 41 oldest mid-oceanic granite islands on earth in the western Indian Ocean and lies between 480km and 1,600km from the east coast of Africa.

The island group provided an enviable tropical climate is always warm and without extremes and is an year round destination for sun worshippers and beach lovers. The months between May and September bring drier, cooler weather, and livelier seas - particularly on south-eastern coasts and winds of 10-20 knots and regarded as best suited for leisure and entertainment.

Seychelles is an young nation with its first settlement back to 1770 when the islands were first settled by the French but was ceded to Britain under the treaty of Paris in 1814 and achieved independence from Britain in 1976 and became a republic within the commonwealth.

In tune with its evolutionary islands since two centuries Seychelles has remained faithful to its multi-ethnic roots. Today, the 87,122 strong Seychellois populations continues to reflect its multi-ethnic roots with a diversity of peoples including European settlers, political exiles, adventurers, traders from Arab and Persian Chinese and Indian origins .The island has three official languages Creole, English and French. Roman Catholicism remains the dominant religion alongside, Muslim, Hindu and Bahaï communities on the islands.

There were 44 sea beaches suitable for various entertainment activities in the Seychelles group of islands.
